Langtang Valley Trek is a very rewarding short trek within easy reach of the Kathmandu region. offering great alpine scenery, mountian views, and a chance to interact with the Tamang people whose culture is closer to the Tibeten people than the Nepal . The valley was the first National Park in Nepal .
The trek far less croweded from the Everest treks.
- Day 1 :Arrive Kathmandu , meet your guide at airport, check into hotel, and review the gear you brought and discuss the next days events, walkabout Themal area for Dinner.
- Day 2 : Take bus to Dhunche, walk to Syabrubesi(1300m) vi Trisuli Bazaar(540m), 5 hours of walking
- Day 3 : Walk from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2469m), 6 hours of walking
- Day 4 : Walk to Langtang (3430m), 5 hours of walking
- Day 5 : Walk to Kyangjin )3870m) to a view of the Langtang icefall, return to Kyangjin, 3 hours of walking
- Day 6 : Do day hike in the Kyangjin area enjoying some of the best views of Gora Tabela, Langtang Lirung, Kyangin gompa.
- Day 7 : Walk back to the Lama Hotel, mostly downhill decending 1400m
- Day 8 : Walk to Syarpagaon along a different route called the high trail through the villiage of Syarpagaon, 6 hours of walking
- Day 9 : Walk to Dhunche, 6 hours of walking
- Day 10 : Bus back to Kathmandu .
- Day 11 : Site see the Monkey Temple (Swayambunath), Pashputinath Temple .
- Day 12 : Site see Boudhanath the largest Stupa in Nepal , Bhaktapur (a world heritage site).
Langtang Valley is $400 USD for a single person. Langtang Valley for two people sharing rooms is $600 USD total for both people.
