Gokyo Lakes and Gokyo Ri has the best views of Mt. Everest because of how Nupse and Lohotse sheild the view from the south. Some think that Gokyo regions has some of the best mountian views of all the treks in Nepal .
While walking up the long valley towards Goyko and Cho Oyo, you will be suprised at how deceptively easy the short treks each day, but care must be taken because of the altitude is quite high.
Day 1 :Arrive Kathmandu, meet guide at airport, check into hotel
Day 2 :Fly to Lukla (9,280ft/2800m), trek to Phaking (8,366ft/2550m)
Day 3 :Trek to Namche Bazaar(11,280ft/3,440m). Lots of good pizza and pastries the eat here.
Day 4 :Day hike to Everest Hotel for the view,lunch and time for acclimation.
Day 5 : Trek to Dole(13,549ft/4,130m)
Day 6 : Trek to Machermo(14,665ft/4,470m).
Day 7 :Trek to Gokyo(15,583ft/4,750m),
Day 8 : Rest and climb Gokyo Ri which is the best view point
Day 9 : Trek to Nhalha (14,435ft/4,400m)
Day 10 : Trek to Phortse(/3,840m)
Day 11 : Trek to Tengboche(12,600/3,860m)
Day 12 : Trek to Namche Bazaar(11,280ft/3,440m) with hot showers and lots of good food.
Day 13 : Trek to Phaking(8,366ft/2550m).
Day 14 : Trek to Lukla and Fly back to Kathmandu .
Day 15 : Site see the Monkey Temple (Swayambunath), Pashputinath Temple .
Day 16 : Site see Boudhanath the largest Stupa in Nepal , Bhaktapur (a world heritage site).
Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Ri Trek Pricing is $1100 USD for a single person. Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Ri Trek Pricing for two people sharing rooms is $1800 USD total for both people.
